Meet the Relationship Experts

Ken & Irma Morris

Married in 1991, Ken and Irma thought marriage would be no problem since this was the second marriage for each. They made a commitment to God and each other that divorce was not an option. But serious problems did emerge, and they separated in their second year of marriage but stayed living in the same house. As they worked on stabilizing their marriage, they realized that many couples struggled with the same issues. Prompted by a strong desire to help others, they became trained Marriage Educators and have been in the marriage/relationship field since 1993. They are certified in many programs such as Relationship Enhancement, Mastering the Mysteries of Love, Love’s Cradle, World Class Marriage, PAIRS and the Third Option. They are also trainers of trainers in several of the programs. They are co-authors of a faith-based weekend couples retreat called “The Mirror.” Ken has a passion to work individually with couples to help them reconnect by learning communication skills. Irma’s heart is helping women process and put closure on past negative experiences.

  1. carol vargas says:

oh my god thank you, my husband and i need this. We have taken classes and gone to counseling and tool building but we need to do it together as well, do you ever offer on saturdays or Friday evenings.

    • Hi Carol,

We’d be happy to have you and your husband join. At this time we are offering it on Mondays (Santa Ana) and Tuesdays (Fullerton). If we could, we’d have it every night!

  2. Elizabeth Sanchez says:

How can I get my significant other to want and attend your classes. I feel as this could be super beneficial not only to us , but to have our daughter grow up in a non toxic environment. He is still reluctant to go. Would it be ok if I only attend or does it have to be both. I am more than 80% sure if his efforts are not presented; this 6+ year relationship will end.

    • It’s hard Elizabeth, to make someone want to do something – you can only control yourself. However The Third Option program is unique because we welcome couples OR INDIVIDUALS in the class. Many times one partner attends and the other either can’t or won’t come. Often in those relationships the one that comes alone starts making personal changes and growing, and the other person sees it and is attracted to it, and decides to start coming also. So coming alone is fine and often helps the relationship.

  3. tia says:

Is this offered for same-sex married couples as well?

    • Hi Tia,

Yes it is. The Third Option class is open to anyone that wants to attend, and you will be warmly welcomed.

The Third Option class is funded by Healthy Relationships California, a statewide nonprofit that sponsors and promotes relationship education programs across California. Primary funding for HRC comes from the federal government.

If you have any other questions feel free to call me at 714-240-4245 and I’ll be happy to answer them. Hope to see you soon,

      – Don

Are you still offering classes in Santa Ana on Mondays? If so, what is the location and time? I would like to start attending.u

    Thank you,

    • Hi Aleisha,

We are currently meeting just in Fullerton for now. The class in Santa Ana joined the group in Fullerton and is very well capacitated with a large and experienced team. Feel free to stop by and join the group. We’d love to have you.

  5. Daisee says:

I am curious, about how many people is it per group? My boyfriend would be a bit reluctant if he were to show up and only have like 2 couples there.

    • Hi Daisee, Didn’t see your message until now. Maybe you’ve already come to the class, but I’ll respond anyway just to be safe. The Third Option class typically has between 50 and 80 attendees every Tuesday night, and you never have to speak in front of others unless you want to. It should be a very comfortable environment for your boyfriend. If you have other questions feel free to call us at 714-706-4250.
Thanks for inquiring Daisee! – Don

  6. M says:

What is the current topic for the Tuesday/Fullerton meetings?

    • The topics change every week, so that over a period of 14 weeks we hit every topic once. Then we start up again and continue with a new cycle of the 14 topics. This means it’s OK to start at any time, and after 14 weeks you will have had all the topics. On 3/3/15, the topic is “Speaking the Truth in Love”, and on 3/10/15 the topic is “Anger”.
